Thursday 1st October, 2009 AUT Conference Centre, 585, Great South Road, Penrose, Auckland
There are quite a few ways of finding out more about social media, such as webinars and boot camps, but if you are thinking about getting started, or know a little about it, this is the workshop for you. It will be a “hands on” work shop where you will get the tools you need up and running.
It will cover:
1.What is social media and why should I be doing it?
2.Getting started with a blog. You will be building your own simple blog.
3.What is Linkedin? Getting your profile up and running covering the quick wins.
4.Using Linkedin to the fullest.
5.Twitter and the Twitter tools to make it easy to manage. Your Twitter account will be up and running.
6.Monitoring what people are saying about you and your brand
You will need to have a good level of computer literacy so that we can all keep to the same speed as everyone else when we are working on these sites. You will need to bring your own laptop that can take advantage of the training centres wireless broadband connection. Don’t be afraid if you think you have to have technical knowlege to do this, you don’t.
The work shop will run from 9am – 1pm, with morning tea supplied. Places are limited to 14 so please book early to avoid disappointment. The cost is $195 +gst per person.
Please contact
